Heart Failure in Long-Term Survivors of Childhood or Adolescent Cancers

In contemporary oncology, several cautionary measures contribute to reduce the risk of on-treatment ventricular dysfunction and heart failure (HF). These measures include baseline evaluation of patient’s cardiovascular characteristics, optimal treatment of comorbidities, and avoidance of unnecessary high cumulative doses of anthracyclines.
