Tentative use of NSE in biological studies

1980
Of these three attempts to use NSE in biological studies, we conclude that the NSE spectrometer provides a high enough sensitivity to successfully observe inelastic scattering or quasielastic scattering from biological solutions. The existence and frequency measurement of collective motions did not appear in these experiments. The most prominent result concerns the observation of an organized liquid arrangement of molecules inside the red cells of normal human blood. This suffices to prove that NSE spectrometry is a promising tool in the field of biology.
