Meter and measuring system

Described and shown is a measuring device (1) with a sensor device (2), a processing device (3), a storage device (4), an interface (5) and a control device (6). The invention addresses the problem of proposing an instrument that allows simplified check the functionality of the meter. The object is achieved in that the control device (6) via the interface (5) externally provided data queries and a review of the measuring device (1) performs. In this case, there is a check either in the fact that the control device (6) determines a reference value of the externally provided data, compares the reference value with one of the processing device (3) generated measurement value and generated therefrom a comparison result. Alternatively, the verification that the control device (6) uses the externally supplied data for the generation of in the storage device (4) to be deposited new calculation data and deposited the new charging data in the storage device (4). Furthermore, the invention relates to a measuring arrangement (13).
