Pinter and printing method thereof

The embodiment of the invention provides a printer and a printing method thereof. The printer comprises a processor and a deformation processing subsystem, wherein the deformation processing subsystem is connected with the processor; the deformation processing subsystem comprises a plate making panel consisting of a plurality of deformation units which are at a first height normally, an excitation source generating unit which generates an excitation source under the control of a processor to excite the deformation units to change height and an imprinting control unit which is mechanically connected with the plate making panel to control the plate making panel in which the height of the deformation units changes to press and form three-dimensional patterns on a printing consumable; and the deformation units can restore to the first height under the action of an external force or when the excitation source disappears. The printer and the printing method can print the three-dimensional patterns.
