Aortic arch aneurysm of Takayasu arteritis associated with entero-Behçet disease.

We report an unusual case of a patient who suffered froma huge ruptured aortic arch aneurysm. There was a his-tory of entero-Behcet disease. The surgery performed wasan aortic root reconstruction and total arch replacementconcomitant with an elephant trunk procedure. Variouscomplications developed. The patient died of a coronaryevent 4.5 months after the first operation. Ultimately,Takayasu arteritis was diagnosed at autopsy. Coexistenceof Takayasu disease and entero-Behcet disease has notbeen reported in the literature to date.
