Teaching opportunities in England

We wish to confirm the opinion of Mr W. K. Roberts (Physics Bulletin February 1969 p. 70) that the opportunities available to well qualified physicists in English Colleges of Further Education are extremely limited. The apparent surfeit of teaching physicists in England of which he complains is because much that we would regard as physics is taught under the guise of one or other engineering discipline.
