Framing my name: Extending educational boundaries

In this chapter, we provide the 'backs tory' to names and the naming process in Australia. In this way, we hope to provide for reflection, a bricolage of its development and progression. This is done through two trajectories: the history and settlement of migration and secondly, the evolving of a 'New English' language for Australia. In light of these factors, the chapter will then explore the influence of naming in contemporary Australia.
