Comparison of mathematics learning outcomes and habits of mind between senior high school and vocational high school graduates of informatics engineering study program

2021
This research is a comparative study of mathematics learning outcomes between students in informatics study programs who are Senior High School (SMA) graduates and Vocational High School (SMK) graduates. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the average score of mathematics learning outcomes of SMA graduates’ students is 79,3 which is slightly higher than students who graduate from SMK with an average score of 78.13. Therefore, this suggests that there are no differences in mathematical learning outcomes between students graduating from Senior High School and those graduating from Vocational High School. Furthermore, the results of the research are (1) The difference educational background between students from SMA or SMK have no influence in their mathematics learning outcomes (2) There is no learning outcomes difference between students graduating from SMA and SMK (3) Not related to study habits and mathematics learning outcomes of high school students. (4) There is a relationship between thinking habits and mathematical learning outcomes of students graduating from vocational high school.
