1. The regularities observed in the flow of liquids through a porous material can readily be explained by considering the ratios of some of their physical characteristics — density, viscosity, and surface tension (γ/μ andσ/γ). 2. The liquid permeability of a porous material depends strongly on its wettability, increasing sharply with improvement in wetting.
