Polarized Neutron Capture in Aluminium

The gamma radiation following capture of polarized thermal neutrons in polarized and unpolarized 27A1 nuclei has been investigated. Unique spins different from the literature values are assigned to the 3465 keV and 5134 keV levels. Evidence for M2/E1 multipole mixing is found.
