Unsuccessful Causes of Internal Fixation for Femoral Shaft Fracture: A Report of 14 Cases

2005
Objective To study the unsuccessful causes of internal fixation for femoral shaft fracture. Methods The data of 14 unsuccessful cases were analyzed retrospectively. Results The unsuccess in internal fixation of fracture of femoral shaft was cased mostly by fixation material unfit for fracture, nonstandard operation, recurrent trauma, and unfitting dirigation. Conclusions The fixation material fit well, strictly operation, and fit dirigation can prevented the internal fixation from unsuccess.
