The Community Enterprise Centre Initiative was set up to foster enterprise in communities with high unemployment. The purpose of the scheme is to meet the needs of communities to grow local enterprises and to assist people starting with their own ideas for employment and business. I am pleased to be able to tell you that that the Tanaiste has allocated up to £900,000 in capital grants and up to £39,400 in running costs to establish a Community Enterprise Centre at Corporation Street.
