Magnetic spectrometer based on multiwire proportional chambers

The characteristics of a magnetic spectrometer based on multiwire proportional chambers with cathode data output are investigated. The momentum resolution of the spectrometer is less than or equal to 1% for particles with momenta of 1-5 GeV/c. Use of the described spectrometer for analysis of the momentum composition of a particle beam substantially improved the momentum resolution of the channel.
