Abrasive wear resistance of high-carbon chrome-nickel steel

1993
1. Maximal abrasive wear resistance is found in chrome-nickel austenitic steels with a structure consisting of unstable austenite and carbides. 2. The greater the proneness of austenite to strengthening and to phase transformations under the effect of the applied load, the greater the wear resistance of steels.
