The invention provides a method for preparing a gold (I)-thiol composite nanotube. The method comprises the steps as follows: glycyl-glycyl-glycine is added into chloroauric acid under the existence of lauryl mercaptan, and the components are stirred and react to obtain the gold (I)-thiol composite nanotube. During a reduction reaction of chloroauric acid and lauryl mercaptan, glycyl-glycyl-glycine easily forms a tubular micelle through a hydrogen bond, gold (I) obtained in the reduction reaction is accumulated and formed on the tubular micelle, finally, the nanotube is formed rapidly, and the time for preparing the nanotube is shortened.
