Research on Electromagnetic Characteristics of Power Transformer in Distribution Network

2021
As an important hub equipment in the distribution network system, distribution transformer is an important node of electric energy redistribution and supports the long-distance transmission of electric energy. In the distribution network facing the end user, the stable operation of power transformers is particularly important, and its working conditions are directly related to the safety, efficiency and economic operation level of the distribution network. A large number of accident statistics show that 60% to 80% of the accidents are caused by the deterioration of the insulation performance of power transformers, and overheating and partial discharge are closely related to transformer insulation damage. Therefore, it is extremely urgent to carry out real-time online monitoring of its running state, prevent the unplanned outage of transformers and improve the overall economic benefits of the distribution network. In this paper, oil-immersed power transformers are selected as the research object, and the electromagnetic characteristics of distribution transformers are studied from two aspects of overload and partial discharge. Finally, the physical field simulation software COMSOL is used to conduct online simulation of typical partial discharge defect models of transformer.
