A method and apparatus for separating the principal stress based on the stress measuring ultrasonic surface waves, surface force measurement method and apparatus belongs material. Said separating means comprises: a set of ultrasonic transducers, transmitting and receiving ultrasonic pulses, a sampling and analysis system consisting of a processing system; by the ultrasound transducer group output terminal of the ultrasonic pulse transmitter connected to the input of the receiver, ultrasonic pulses an input terminal to the output terminal of the receiver transmitter and the sampling processing system is connected to the output terminal of the sample processing system connected by a digital oscilloscope and analysis system. Surface wave measurement object surface of the work stress and residual stress; also given principal stress separation method; a two-dimensional stress measurement validation experiments to achieve a two-dimensional plane stress wave nondestructive testing, and demonstration of A3 steel object , strong engineering value, high test precision, detection for engineering; advantage of using ultrasound, can be non-destructive detection of stress at any point of a multidimensional single location.
