The invention provides a biological characteristic identification device comprising a light source, a light guiding element, an image capturing element and a first collimator. The light source is usedfor providing a light beam. The light guiding element is arranged on the transmission path of the light beam. The image capturing component arranged below the light guiding element has a plurality ofpixel regions. The first collimator arranged between the light guiding element and the image capturing element consists of a first light transmitting element, a second light transmitting element, a first light absorbing layer, a second light absorbing layer and a third light absorbing layer; the first light absorbing layer is arranged on the light transmitting element and has a plurality of firstopenings; the second light absorbing layer arranged between the first light transmitting element and the second light transmitting element has a plurality of second openings; and the third light absorbing layer is arranged on the surface, facing the image capturing element, of the second light transmitting element and has a plurality of third openings, wherein the first openings, the second openings and the third openings are overlapped in the pixel regions. The biological characteristic identification device has the good recognition capability.
