Preliminary Study on Zeolite Sieve P Preparation by the Reaction of Bentonite and Sodium Carbonate

2003
According to matter mass which is contained in bentonite and can react with alkali, thermogravimetry Experiment on solid reaction of mass ratio 10114 equality mixed substance of bentonite and sodium carbonate was carried out, result show that the solid reaction proceeds intensely at the temperature close to the melting point of sodium carbonate. After calcined this equality mixed substance two hours at 850℃, most of dissoluble silicon and aluminium in bentonite can be converted to water-soluble compounds and enter aqueous solution when with water soaking. Adding just the right amount aluminium hydroxide to this solution, then dissolve reaction by whisking, placing at room temperature and crystallizing at 100℃ water bath, Zeolite sieve P is synthesized. Study on stablity of Zeolite sieve P is also carried out in this article.
