Spatial image evolution of the Rydberg nonlinear process controlled by a multiparameter probe field

2019
Abstract We report the regularity of experimental evolution of Rydberg six-wave mixing (SWM) spatial images that were effectively controlled by adjusting various probe field parameters. Due to the high-order nonlinear Rydberg process, evolution of the spatial defocusing and splitting was observed by changing the detuning, polarization, and power of the probe field. Modulated spatial images obtained in a Rydberg nonlinear medium were found to be related to the refractive index. This study clarifies the spatial transmission rules for Rydberg SWM, which can be used to study the light field modulation of space imaging of a Rydberg atom ensemble and can provide evidence for the design of advanced materials.
