Analyse quantitative de l'urée dans l'eau par HPLC-APCI-MS-MS et HPLC-ES-MS-MS

2001
Two simple and rapid quantitative methods for urea concentration measurement in water has been developed by using two technics online HPLC/APCI/MS/MS (high-performance liquid chromatography/atmospheric pressure chemical ionisation/tandem mass spectrometry) and HPLC/ES/MS/MS (high-performance liquid chromatography/electospray ionisation/tandem mass spectrometry), both in positive ion mode. These methods allow the specific quantitative determination of urea in different kinds of water without any prior sample preparation. The limit of sensitivity of the two technics was about 50 ppb and the calibration proved to be linear in the range 50 ppb up to 10 ppm. This system was applied to determine the concentration of urea present in the water of swimming pool.
