Advanced Research on Molecular Mechanisms of Hepatic Metastasis in Colorectal Cancer

This review has identified many recent advances involved in colorectal cancer hepatic metastasis.Twenty molecular factors were identified and included in this review.The molecular factors were separated into four groups based on their functions as proteolysis,adhesion,angiogenesis and cell survival.In order to better understanding the complex molecular events involved in metastasis,novel screening and therapeutic tools may be developed for the ultimate goal of preventing metastasis and increasing survival rate of colorectal cancer.
