Soft Co-Fe films : the structure and magnetic properties

The phase composition, crystallographic texture. micro- and macrostresses in vacuum evaporated Co-Fe films are studied. The coercive force H C , the field of magnetic saturation Hs and remanence ratio I R /I S are measured. Structural origin of magnetic properties are discussed. A magnetic behaviour diagram have been built in the two-dimensional field- film thickness' and Fe concentration pointing out 3 different magnetic states, namely: the thin-film, supercritical and bulk ones.The obtained results make it possible to control Co-Fe film magnetic properties in a wide range, including soft film manufacture.
