Психофизиологические механизмы формирования навыка письма у детей 6-7 и 9-10 лет

We studied the psychophysiological structure of reading and handwriting skills and specificity of their impairments at the initial and final stages of writing skill formation. It was shown that at an early stage of this skill formation (6-7 y.o.) the maturity of executive functions cognitive control and voluntary attention as well as visual perception are of utmost importance for the handwriting acquisition. By 9-10 y.o., the development of cognitive functions substantially alters the functional structure of handwriting without having any significant impact onto the quality of handwriting or the error rate.
