Among high school students usually prevails disinterest in poetry. One of the defects
may be teaching style. This work aims to didactically define how to interpret poetry. To
propose methods that might just increase interest in poetry. The main measure will be the
abandonment of historical interpretation and focus on the text itself. Only through interpreting
and critical thinking can arouse interest in the student. And this work will want to offer an
interpretation component of literature that is taught in secondary schools.
