Cellular mobile telephone field measurement tools and techniques

1988
Acquisition of actual cellular network performance data, adequate for radio engineers to use for network analysis, has historically been difficult and expensive. The cause of this difficulty and expense has been the volume of data required and the need to have the field data position related. It is argued that technological advances in computer-controlled receivers, vehicle geodetic positioning systems, and processing of large, complex data files has made cellular field measurements practical. >
