The project Drillingsberichte (https://www.ru.nl/drillingsberichte-de/) includes a collection of about 160 letters from the German-speaking Jewish doctor Felix Oestreicher which he wrote between 1937 and 1943 while fleeing from Karlovy Vary to the Netherlands. The letters describe the development of his three young daughters and were addressed to his family. This paper presents teaching material that has been developed since 2016 with the help of students and teachers of the German as a foreign language program within an international network with the goal of making the letters available for teachers, interdisciplinary projects and school-exchanges.
