European Union Law Relating to Access to Online Technology for Disabled People in the Context of the Workplace

This chapter looks at the law relating to disability and the use of technology in the workplace. It gives an overview of how an increasingly technological world interacts with the social model of disability. It then examines both UK and international legal provisions that aim to achieve equality of access and their success or otherwise. It includes two case studies which highlight approaches to the use of technology by disabled people in the workplace, drawing upon these to make predictions for future developments.
