The invention relates to the field of glass antifogging agents, in particular to an automotive glass antifogging agent and a preparation method thereof. The automotive glass antifogging agent consists of the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 2 to 5 percent of methyl trifluoropropyl silicon oil, 2 to 5 percent of volatile perfluoro-oil, 2 to 5 percent of oleic acid, 2 to 5 percent of 1,5-pentanediol, 2 to 5 percent of tween-80, and the balance of water. The automotive glass antifogging agent is prepared by the following steps of: (1) dissolving the tween-80 in the water, and stirring the mixture; (2) mixing the volatile perfluoro-oil, the oleic acid and the methyl trifluoropropyl silicon oil together, and uniformly stirring the mixture; (3) pouring the liquid of the step (2) into the liquid of the step (1), and uniformly stirring the mixture; (4) pouring the 1,5-pentanediol into the liquid of the step (3), and uniformly stirring the mixture. The introduction of fluorine ensures that the antifogging agent has excellent hydrophobicity and an antifogging function, the antifogging time is prolonged, and the antifogging effect is improved; furthermore, the automotive glass antifogging agent has no side effect on human bodies, and has the functions of preventing rain, cleaning glass and protecting a wiper after the automotive glass antifogging agent is coated on external glass and a back view mirror of an automobile.
