Spray apparatus for providing medical treatment and methods

Apparatus (100; 700; 800; 900; 1000) for generating a spray, comprising: an actuator (112; 708; 808; 912; 1012) having: a first face (820) and a second face (824) and defining a hole therethrough; and an outer surface (828) defining a flange extending from the first face (820); an element (108; 716; 816; 916; 1016) spray mounted on the actuator and arranged substantially over the hole in which the spray element defines at least one opening therethrough; a vibrating annular element in mechanical communication with the actuator, the vibrating element an annular element (120 1008; 712; 812;; 908) comprising piezoelectric and electrical conduit (116); a seal member configured to isolate the vibrating annular element of a surrounding environment; wherein the vibrating annular element can I operable to vibrate to cause movement of the spray element such that a liquid in the first face of the spray element can be dispensed as a spray through the at least one opening, wherein element (104; 704; 804; 904; 1020) seal is annular, covering at least a portion of the first side of the actuator, the flange defined by the outer surface (828) of the actuator, at least a portion of the second face of the actuator and at least a portion of the vibrating annular member.
