Field-based Model of Flux Compression Generators

This paper provides a field-based model of flux compression generators, capturing the effects of magnetic diffusion and pressure. A set of differential-algebraic-equations are derived to describe the magnetic dynamics. The electromechanical dynamics of the cylindrical implosion generator, accounting for magnetic pressure, are also demonstrated.
