As a new kind of map, the cit image map has a broad view in its application. Map generalization has been playing au important role in cartography. While the theory of map generalization in urban image map will guide us how to design and edit urban image map. So the theory of map generalization in city image map was elaborated in this thesis connected with some cases from The Digital image Atlas of Guangzhou.
