Oral chemotherapy or targeted therapy compliance: An observational multicenter French study in cancer patients.

e11562 Background: the use of oral cancer chemotherapy (OCT) or targeted therapy (OTT) is in constant increase, because of new pharmacological presentations, patient convenience or in order to increase health cost effectiveness. In a self administered medication, patient’s compliance has to be considered. Nevertheless, little is known about OCT or OTT compliance. It appeared of interest to evaluate the compliance rate in France for such therapies. Methods: the primary objective was compliance assessed based on Medication Possession Ratio (MPR): number of doses taken divided by number of doses expected. At each cycle a pharmacist counted tablets taken and remaining ones. Tolerance and dose adaptation were assessed through patient’s diary and adverse events. QOL, treatment perception and understanding from patient’s side were secondary objectives. Ethic committee’s approval was obtained.
