The foundation and nursing organization of temporary labor-room at earthquake disaster area

As the order, the medical team from PLA general hospital found the temporary labor-room and started to work at Dujiangyan very rapidly. According to the characteristic of Sichuan disaster area, we chose the rational materials as the labor-room, furnished the necessary instruments and drugs, took effective training according to the lack of professional nursing staffs and the lack of experience, and did scientific organization. Then until 15 days after the foundation of temporary labor-room, our nursing unit completed 11 cases of accompanying and 4 cases of labor. We got a well achievement that none of those cases had infection,mistake or accident. Key words: Disaster area; Temporary labor-room; Nursing organization
