Track Chair's Report: Convergence of Distributed Clouds, Grids and Their Management (CDCGM 2018)

2018
Cloud Computing is evolving towards big infrastructures with next generation hardware and services embedding business service intelligence to create complex distributed workflow execution services. Servide providers want to assure service delivery on a massive scale with global interoperability. The scale of distributed applications and their management have taken a new dimension demanding tolerance to wild fluctuations both in workloads and available computing resource pools. In this context, the problem of vendor lock-in is still a very discussed issue and companies are experimenting multi-cloud and various cloud agnostic solutions. In this 2018 edition of CDCGM there are 6 papers describing solutions to improve the current cloud computing practices dealing with quality of service, adaptive algorithms and software defined network architectures.
