Spectral line parameters for CO2 bands in the 4.8- to 5.3-μm region

2006
Abstract The line strengths, N 2 - and O 2 -broadened half-widths of CO 2 bands in the 4.8- to 5.3-μm region are determined from spectra using a Fourier transform spectrometer at room temperature. Measured (11101–00001), (11102–00001), (12201–01101), and (20001–01101) bands of CO 2 exhibit remarkable intensity perturbations. The squared vibrational transition dipole moments and Herman–Wallis factors are derived from the effective transition dipole moments. The air-broadened half-widths are obtained by using N 2 - and O 2 -broadened half-widths. The spectroscopic parameters obtained in this study are compared with the values in the HITRAN database and previous studies.
