ACESSIBILIDADE NA HIGIENE ORAL COMO FORMA DE INCLUSÃO DO INDIVÍDUO

The present work aims to demonstrate the methods that can be used for the preparation and adaptation of dental brushes that are used for oral hygiene effectiveness, exemplifying simple ways that could be arranged in the home of each individual , improving accessibility to these materials and their management. With human adversities and their limitations, such as syndromes, visual, hearing, physical or multiple deficiencies, it prevents oral hygiene techniques from being performed in an egalitarian manner to the entire population. In this context, the need for the creation of adaptive and individualized techniques for people with syndromes or deficiencies becomes of paramount importance for the individual, who will independently and effectively achieve oral hygiene. In the meantime, assisting and promoting oral hygiene techniques, the population with some barrier that prevents it from obtaining quality of life, provides reduction in relation to the control of the biofilm in the oral cavity, resulting in better health, since there is prevention of control of caries and periodontal diseases that are more susceptible to lack or inefficiency of oral hygiene. Thus, with the aid of oral hygiene techniques, when performed properly and correctly instructed the patient, drastically minimizes the risks of developing oral diseases. Having said that, teaching and emphasizing to all the population that needs these adequate methods of oral hygiene is the duty of the dentist surgeon before the society, independent of race, color, sex and physical condition. In addition, it provides the individual with social inclusion and social responsibility in general. Key words: Accessibility. Adapted technique. Oral health. Adaptive brush.
