Optimum Design Method for Large-aperture Lightweight Primary Mirror of Flat Rear Surface

Using parameter optimization and topology optimization, a theoretical and highly efficient new lightweight design method was proposed for the Large-aperture primary mirror of flat rear surface with backside support. By means of parameter optimization of ANSYS, the optimal supporting position was gained. At last, the topological structure was obtained by using the software of OPTISTRUCT. Therefore, the optimum lightweight mirror was built satisfying the wave front error and the structural stiffness and the ratio of weight, considering structural mechanics and sensitivity analysis.
