The method for recovering lithium

Object of the present invention is to provide a method for recovering lithium, which is capable of efficiently recovering phosphorous, fluorine impurities from the separation of lithium from the lithium ion battery containing a lithium-containing solution of lithium hexafluorophosphate. In the present invention, the addition to the lithium-containing alkali hydroxide solution, the pH is 9 or more, thereby forming a phosphate and a fluoride salt precipitate, the precipitate formed separated and removed, recovering lithium from the filtrate.
