Bromide Alkoxides of Uranium

The reactions of uranium pentaalkoxides (ethoxide and n-amyloxide) with acetyl bromide in different molar ratios yield the products, U(OEt)4Br, U(OEt)3Br2, U(OEt)2Br3, U(OEt)Br4 · CH3COOEt, U(OAmn)4Br, U(OAmn)3Br2, U(OAmn)2Br3 and U(OAmn)Br4 ·· CH3COOAmn. All these bromide alkoxides are soluble in benzene.
