Comparison of the B and V Colors as Calculated at Maximum from Physical Parameters of W UMa Stars Observed by the Tycho Mission

We analyzed the existing set of models of W UMa stars to determine their reliability. A comparison of observables derived from the models with Tycho photometry has indicated a number of potentially flawed models.
