Breeding method of hybrid rice

The invention provides a breeding method of hybrid rice. The method includes the steps of firstly, hybridizing first rice lines and second rice lines to obtain the F1 generation of rice; secondly, selfing the F1 generation of rice to obtain the F2 generation of rice; thirdly, selecting fertile single-plant rice with target property from the F1 selfing offsprings as the selfing line, and obtaining the fertile rice line with the genetic stability and the target property; fourthly, knocking out a temperature-sensitive nucleic sterile gene TMS5 in the fertile rice line with the genetic stability and the target property by means of the gene fixed-point mutation technology, and obtaining a temperature-sensitive nucleic sterile rice line S with the target property and no transgenic ingredients; fifthly, selecting hybrid rice combinations from the S through hybridizing and matching. By means of the method, the breeding procedure of two hybrid rice lines is optimized, and the breeding effect is greatly improved.
