Before writing; before domestic sheep, cows and pigs, probably before agriculture, dogs and humans had reciprocal relationships. Dog worlds and human worlds have interacted and collided for millennia. Yet still we know so little. What are the differences between my perceptions and my dog's perceptions? What is a domestic dog and what is a dingo? How do humans construct and react to a dog's wildness or its tame - ness? Where do we humans stop and where does the 'natural' world begin?
