Abstract : The material in this handbook is generalized, systematized and set forth with respect to the following questions: practical aerodynamics; technical operation and maintenance of aircraft (helicopter) airframes, their systems, gas-turbine and piston engines, oxygen and high-altitude equipment, instrument-flying navigation devices; electronic equipment; lubricants employed in the operation and repair of the aviation equipment; wear of components, subassemblies and mechanisms, repair and routine maintenance operations; maintenance of the components and systems of the aircraft, gas-turbine and piston engines, inspection and checking operations, anticorrosive treatments; aviation materials being employed, fuels, lubricants and working fluids; article defects and strength of materials. This handbook is intended for flight and technical-engineering personnel of all branches of aviation, the aviation industry, scientific institutions, students of the higher and intermediate aviation educational institutions.
