Effect of AgNO_3 on Transformation of Sweetpotato By Agrobacterium tumefaciens

Effect of AgNO 3 on transformation of sweetpotato by Agrobacterium tumefaciens mediated transformation of sweetpotato was tested in this papers, and the test material was a superior cultivars "NanShu 88" .The results showed that: It was not favor to transformation when AgNO 3 was in pre-culture medium, but promoted when added it in co-medium. when the concentration of AgNO 3 was at 6 mg/L, the rate of Kan+r buds was highest, reached 27.5%.The pattern and apply of AgNO 3 for establishing a simple and effective transformation systemin sweetpotato also was discussed.
