LONG-TERM ABSORPTION OF FLAVONIDES. The present invention relates to methods for sustained long-term release release of flavonoids, in particular rhamnose-containing flavonoids, and for prolonging the absorption of said flavonoids in the gastrointestinal tract. The invention also relates to compositions comprising flavonoid dia and I ± -rhamnosidase. The invention further encompasses compositions comprising hesperidin and hesperetin-7-glycoside.
