Vergleichende biochemische und serologische Untersuchungen an Staphylokokken von Schweinen und Rindern unter besonderer Berücksichtigung von Staphylococcus hyicus bzw. Staphylococcus epidermidis Biotyp 2

Zusammenfassung Fur vergleichende biochemische und serologische Untersuchungen standen insgesamt 405 eigene Staphylokokkenstamme zur Verfugung. Dabei handelte es sich um 196 Staph, hyicus-, 124 Staph, epidermidis- und 8 Staph, aureus-Stamme vom Schwein sowie 55 Staph. epidemidis-Biotyp-2-Stamme vom Rind und 6 aus dem Untersuchungsmaterial von anderen Tierarten sowie 16 Staph. epidermidis-Stamme anderer Biotypen vom Rind. Staph, hyicus vom Schwein und Staph, epidermidis Biotyp 2 vom Rind zeigten ein nahezu identisches kulturell-biochemisches und serologisches Verhalten. Gegenuber anderen Biotypen von Staph, epidermidis und Staph, aureus konnten diese Erreger aufgrund des biochemischen Reaktionsspektrums abgegrenzt werden. Sie wiesen in ihren Enzymaktivitaten zahlreiche Ubereinstimmungen mit Staph, aureus auf, zu anderen Biotypen von Staph, epidermidis liesen sich vergleichbare Beziehungen nicht feststellen. Die Resistenzprufung ergab sowohl unter 126 untersuchten Staph, hyicus- als auch unter 40 Staph. epidermidis-Biotyp-2-Stam-men einen hohen Prozentsatz an tetracyclinresistenten Staphylokokken (66,7% bzw. 75%). Summary Comparative biochemical and serological studies on staphylococci from pigs and cattle with special reference to Staph, hyicus and Staph epidermidis biotype 2 A total of 405 pure strains of Staphylococcus were available for biochemical and serological studies. They comprised 196 Staph, hyicus, 124 Staph, epidermidis, and 8 Staph, aureus strains from pigs, as well as 55 Staph, epidermidis biotype 2 strains from cattle and 6 from material from other species, together with 16 Staph, epidermidis strains of other biotypes from cattle. Staph, hyicus from pigs and Staph, epidermidis, both biotype 2, from cattle showed almost identical cultural, biochemical and serological characters. Compared with other biotypes of Staph, epidermidis and Staph. aureus these agents could be differentiated on the basis of their biochemical reactions. In their enzyme activities they showed many characters of Staph, aureus, whereas to other biotypes of Staph, epidermidis there were no comparable relationships. Resistance tests with 126 strains of Staph, hyicus and 40 of Staph, epidermidis (both biotype 2) showed a high percentage of staphylococci resistant to tetracycline (66.7 and 75%, respectively). Resume Recherches biochimiques et serologiques comparees sur des staphylocoques de porcs et de bovins, en particulier sur Staphylococcus hyicus et Staphylococcus epidermis biotype 2 405 souches de staphylocoques ont permis de proceder aux recherches biochimiques et serologiques comparees. Il s'agissait de 196 Staph, hyicus, 124 Staph, epidermidis, 8 Staph, aureus de porc, 55 Staph, epidermidis du biotype 2 de bovin, 6 souches a partir du materiel d'autres especes animales et 16 Staph, epidermidis de bovin appartenant a d'autres biotypes. Staph, hyicus du porc et Staph, epidermidis du biotype 2 chez le bovin ont montre un comportement en culture, biochimique et serologique, presque identique. Ces germes ont pu etre delimites d'autres biotypes de Staph, epidermidis et Staph, aureus sur la base des reactions biochimiques. Ils ont montre de nombreuses relations dans leurs activites enzymatiques avec Staph, aureus, ce qui ne fut pas le cas avec d'autres biotypes de Staph, epidermidis. Le test de resistance a donne un fort pourcentage de resistance aux tetracyclines: 66,7% des 126 Staph, hyicus et 75% des 40 Staph, epidermidis biotype 2. Resumen Estudios bioquimicos y serologicos comparados en estafilococos de cerdos y vacunos bajo la consideracion especial de Staphylococcus epidermidis biotipo 2 Para los estudios bioquimicos y serologicos comparados se pudo disponer de un total de 405 estirpes propias de estafilococos. Se trabata aqui de 196 cepas de Staph, hyicus, 124 de Staph, epidermidis y 8 de Staph, aureus de cerdos y 55 cepas de Staph, epidermidis biotipo 2 de vacunos y 6 del material de analisis de otras especies animales, ademas de 16 estirpes Staph, epidermidis de otros biotipos de vacas. Staph, hyicus del cerdo y Staph, epidermidis biotipo 2 de la vaca mostraron un comportamiento bioquimico-cultural y serologico casi identico. Frente a otros biotipos de Staph, epidermidis y Staph, aureus se pudieron delimitar estos agentes etiologicos a la vista des espectro de reaccion bioquimica. Manifestaron en sus actividades enzimaticas concordancias numerosas con Staph, aureus, mientras que no se pudieron establecer relaciones semejantes con otros biotipos de Staph, epidermidis. La comprobacion de la resistencia acuso tantro entre 126 cepas de Staph, hyicus examinadas como entre 40 de Staph, epidermidis biotipo 2 un porcentaje elevado de estafilococos resistentes a las tetraciclinas (66,7% resp. 75%).
