Communications system, electronic equipment and method

This communications system comprises a terminal device and an item of electronic equipment that can be worn on the body of a user. The terminal device is equipped with a locking means which locks input operations when the terminal device is not being used by a user, a first communications means which receives a security code from the electronic equipment, and a lock releasing means which, on the basis of the security code received by means of the first communications means, releases the locked state implemented by the locking means. The electronic equipment is equipped with a second communications means which transmits the security code, a motion detecting means which detects a motion of the user wearing the electronic equipment, and an activation control means which controls the activation of the second communications means in accordance with the motion of the user that has been detected by the motion detecting means.
