Effect of percutaneous coronary interventions on heart function in patients with coronary heart disease and heart failure disease.

2009
Objective To investigate the effect on left ventricular systolic and diastolic function in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD) after percutaneous coronary interventions(PCI).Methods 72 CHD patients with heart failure disease who underwent PCI were selected.Left ventricular end systolic diameter(LVESD),Left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDD),Fraction shortening(FS),Left ventricular ejection(LVEF),E,A and E/A were measured with Doppler echocardiography before operation, one weeks and 6 months after operation. Results SAfter percutaneous coronary interventions, the systolic and diastolic function in CHD patients with heart failure were significantly improved.LVEF、FS、LVESD、LVEDD、E、A and E/A were significantly improved(P0.05,0.01) six months after operation compared with before operation.LVEF and FS were improved(P0.05) one week after operation compared with before operation.LVEF、FS、LVESD and LVEDD were improved(P0.05) six months after operation compared with one week after operation. Conclusion The systolic and diastolic function in CHD patients with heart failure were inproved after percutaneous coronary interventions.
