Soil physical characterization in different systems coffee cultivation

2015
The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of different coffee fertilization in some soil physical properties. We evaluated three coffee crops under different management systems. Disturbed and no-disturbed soil samples were collected in each coffee field, walking in zigzag. We evaluated soil texture, macroporosity, microporosity and particle and bulk densities. Data were subjected to analysis of variance using SAS software and significant when submitted to the Tukey test at 5% probability. There was no significant difference in soil texture and particle density. The fields under bovine fertilization showed higher bulk density values; microporosity and macroporosity were higher in natural coffee. The organic cow manure at the coffee induces improvement in the physical soil characteristics.
